Today we rode the streetcar to the Pearl bakery and bought bread to eat with our lunch today.

This trip seems like a weekly trip.

Berkeley is getting more interested in potty training.

Missing Leg Warmers and other adventures

So I had so much to tell and it all slips my mind. Today Brooklyn will finally acknowledge his birthday at school. The Safeway in the Pearl was unable to take a phone order for mini-croisants. Brooklyn is alergic to chocolate another child is alergic to nuts. I tried to order twice on the phone they never took my name. Here is the real issue for me not that they ran out not that the things take 24 hours to proof. I worked in a chain Bakery Deli for over 8 years. My issue is that the employees do not have food handlers cards at the Safeway in the Pearl. I have a food handler's card I have years of baking and catering experience yet it is against the law for me to make rice-crispy treats to bring to school. What is wrong with our litigious society. No wonder our schools have crappy food and parents fail to be involved.

Now I do now one a week eat the food in the caffeteria with Brooklyn on the day I come into sharpen pencils. Thursday is always pizza day. This was my first Thursday. The lines were longer. I once again paid off other children's balances. (the school systen says if a kid goes over 10 dollars in dept the protocal is to dump the food.) Well I had a small cheese pizza a pile of salad (there is never dressing) uncooked brocolie and grapes. Because of the lack of oils and crutons I might just be eatting healthier but I don;t see much green on other kids plates although I am told that on the day i attend there is more interest and green on the plates of the kids I have known since HG.

Hope it goes better tonight.

I work until 10pm just fed the kids dinner.

Today we went to the soccer field to run around and play. Berkeley enjoyed walking around with a toy dog all over the field. He also liked exploring the space with his classmates and playing with the soccer nets.

On the food report the always scratch out the fruit and write in the fresh fruit I bring.

Rode the streetcar to Pearl Bakery, so we had great bread with our soup for lunch today.

Brooklyn was happy about his homework.

When Brooklyn finished a math section today he jumped around saying I won I won. IKEA went well Brooklyn ate first than went to the kid's club. He used a youth max ticket thought it was cool.

I was given a disk with Berkeley pictures. Many were oriented the wrong way. These were great, I put the others on Facebook easier to restore.
Took Brooklyn to his favorite 24 hour fitness Downtown he likes it because at the time I bring him around 4pm there are no children there. Berkeley and him had a blast there playing in the kitchen.

Brooklyn got soaked at lunch time school called home and Mike ran over with new dry pants great that we live so close and that Mike was not sleeping hard. This week has been crazy busy.

We are trying a new gym on friday. (never happened they were not open to work out in yet).

"Today we rode the Streetcar to OHSU to watch the tram go up and down the line. Afterwards we walked over to a small park where Berkeley enjoyed running in circles around a big tree" At least he ate well for them he turned down food for me in the morning.

"Berkeley had a good first day back. Today for our walk we went to the stage on the park blocks where Berkeley enjoyed walking up and down the ramp. He also enjoyed putting one of our tamborines over his head and wearing it around like a necjlass. It was quite funny. "

at 11:30 in the morning he went pooped in the toilet at school, at home he only plays with the idea.

Well the kids danced upstairs at the new year's party but they were very sleepy.
